Principal Healthcare Strategy Consultant – Qatar

A healthcare strategy consulting firm headquartered in Europe is now expanding in the Middle East and looking to hire a Principal Strategy Consultant in Qatar to build and shape the business in the region.

Working with healthcare insurers, government, hospitals & care, investors, and pharmaceutical and medical devices, our client is conducting high profile projects in the Middle East, for example, designing a new social health insurance scheme at national level.

The company was founded almost 20 years ago in Europe and has grown into a highly reputable healthcare consulting firm, with an exceptionally strong team, with impressive academic backgrounds (PhD’s and MBA’s from the top universities) and previous consulting experience from tier-1 strategy firms, including Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey.

In the Middle East, the company has a small growing team. The Principal Strategy Consultant will be responsible for both business development and overseeing the delivery of projects, as well as growing and developing the team. In return, they will receive full support and backing from the managing partners in Europe. This is a highly entrepreneurial opportunity, which requires the person to have the right attitude and mindset.

This person will get a lot of exposure and responsibility early on, and the opportunity to work on some dynamic topics in healthcare in an emerging market with an incredible amount of investment, innovation, and transformation.

The ideal candidate profile:

• Top academic background (Medical Doctor, Biomedical, Bioengineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance etc). Minimum Masters level. PhD/MBA advantageous, but not essential.
• A minimum of 5 years of strategy consulting experience (open to candidates with less if they possess the right skills and mindset).
• Passionate about Healthcare and making improvements to the healthcare sector in the Middle East. This person doesn’t need to be a 100% healthcare expert.
• Committed to being in Qatar for a significant period (minimum of 4 years)
• Highly Analytical (outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills)
• Excellent problem-solving ability and a structured thinker.
• A strong entrepreneurial spirit combined with a business builder mindset.
• A team player.
