Healthcare Strategy Consultant – Qatar

A leading specialist healthcare consulting firm headquartered in Europe is now expanding in the Middle East and looking to hire a Healthcare Strategy Consultant in Qatar to support the senior team.

Working with healthcare insurers, government, hospitals & care, investors, and to a lesser extent with pharmaceutical and medical devices, our client is conducting high profile projects in the Middle East, for example, designing a new social health insurance scheme at national level.

The company was founded almost 20 years ago in Europe and has grown into a highly reputable healthcare consulting firm, with an exceptionally strong team, with impressive academic backgrounds (PhD’s and MBA’s from the top universities) and previous consulting experience from tier-1 strategy firms.

In the Middle East, the company has a small growing team. For this reason, the Healthcare Strategy Consultant will get a lot of exposure and responsibility early on, and the opportunity to work on some dynamic topics in healthcare in an emerging market with an incredible amount of investment, innovation, and transformation.

The ideal candidate profile:

• Top academic background (Medical, Pharmacy, Biomedical, Bioengineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance etc). Minimum Masters level. PhD/MBA advantageous, but not essential.
• 1-3 years of professional work experience (Consulting experience would be a plus).
• Strong desire to specialise in the healthcare sector (previous healthcare sector experience is not required).
• Highly Analytical (outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills)
• Excellent problem-solving ability and a structured thinker.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable working in a small-team environment (able to work with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility)
• A team player
• Fluent Arabic is preferred.
• Willing to be based in Qatar and able to travel.
